Our Mission
EuropeanStack exists to make European software easy to find. Europe has a thriving ecosystem of world-class software companies, yet they often remain invisible behind the marketing budgets of Silicon Valley incumbents. We believe that changes when there is a single, well-curated directory where teams can discover, compare, and evaluate EU-built tools.
Our goal is simple: if a European alternative exists, you should be able to find it here — with honest information about what it does well and where it falls short.
Why European Software Matters
Choosing European software is not just a preference — it is a strategic decision with real implications for organisations of every size.
- Digital sovereignty. Reduce dependency on non-European technology providers. When your critical infrastructure is built and operated within Europe, you are less exposed to foreign policy shifts, sanctions, and extraterritorial regulations.

What We Do
EuropeanStack is a curated directory of software built by companies headquartered in EU member states, EEA countries, and the broader European region. Every product we list goes through a verification process to confirm its European credentials.
We provide two tiers of coverage:
- Directory listings — every product gets verified headquarters, category placement, and at least one honest pro and con.
- Deep reviews — select products receive detailed editorial reviews with ratings across six dimensions, pricing analysis, and feature breakdowns.
Our Independence
EuropeanStack is independently run. We are not backed by venture capital, and we are not owned by any software company we review. This independence is fundamental to our editorial integrity.
We sustain the project through affiliate commissions — when you click through to a product and sign up, we may earn a referral fee. This never influences our editorial judgment. Products with affiliate relationships receive the same honest assessment as those without.
Our reviews always include genuine pros and cons. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage, and we never will.
