Paris-built social media management with a unified inbox, publishing, reporting, and paid listening add-on
Review by EuropeanStack EditorialUpdated Verified
Agorapulse is a capable inbox and publishing platform from a French company that lists ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 and hosts customer data in AWS Ireland. Its weaknesses are cost and packaging: per-user pricing in dollars, a profile cap, listening and X as paid add-ons, the removal of the free plan, and glitch, video-publishing, and reporting complaints from reviewers. Capterra shows 4.6 out of 5 across 713 reviews. Run the 30-day trial with your real team size and decide whether the inbox and moderation tools justify the seat cost.

Customer data is hosted in AWS Ireland, and the company reports ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2.

Agorapulse is a Paris-based social media management platform built around a unified inbox, a publishing calendar, and reporting. The company publishes comparison pages against Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meltwater, Brandwatch, and Sprinklr, so it openly pitches itself as the European answer for teams weighing those names.
Agorapulse SAS has its registered office on Boulevard de Sรฉbastopol in Paris, and its terms are governed by French law. The product launched in 2011 and was founded by Emeric Ernoult and Benoรฎt Hรฉdiard, according to coverage of its 2019 funding. Meanwhile, the legal entity in the French register dates back to 2000, which predates the product, so we use 2011 as the founding year.
Its first publicly announced outside round came in September 2019, when it raised โฌ16.5 million from Hi Inov, Cipio Partners, and Entrepreneur Venture, as reported by EU-Startups and Frenchweb. The round was described as a growth round and carried no series label, so our data records it as Series A as the closest category.
In April 2025, Agorapulse took over assets of the social listening company Mention out of a French judicial reorganisation. Frenchweb reported a total price of โฌ4.67 million, of which โฌ61,000 went to the court process, and a combined group of more than 180 staff and 9,000 clients. The โฌ25 million figure in that coverage is combined revenue, not the price.
If Agorapulse is not the right fit, our list of alternatives to Agorapulse covers European options. For the wider market, browse social media management software.
The inbox is the reason most teams pick Agorapulse. It collects comments, direct messages, and reviews from every connected network, with assignment, internal notes, reply-collision detection, saved replies, and labels.
Advanced adds automated moderation rules. A rule can hide, label, assign, or delete items based on triggers, and the lower tiers get one free rule per social profile with a single condition. For community managers drowning in spam on ad comments, this is the most practical feature in the product.
Every plan includes unlimited post scheduling, a shared calendar, drafts, and multi-network publishing. Bulk scheduling takes up to 200 posts from a CSV. Simple approval workflows are included, while multi-step approval chains sit on the Custom plan.
The publishing side is capable rather than distinctive. Agencies that need white-label client dashboards as their central feature should compare Sendible, and analytics-led teams should look at Iconosquare.
Standard includes audience and top-content reports with branded exports. Professional adds team performance reports, and Advanced adds advanced reports, ads reports, ROI analysis, and competitor benchmarking. Data retention differs by tier: 6 months on Standard, 12 on Professional, and 24 on Advanced and Custom.
Capterra reviewers praise the intuitive analytics but say reporting customisation falls short of more complicated needs. That matches our read of the tier structure: the best reports are locked behind the higher plans.
Basic monitoring of your own channels comes with the product. Broader listening across social networks, news, forums, and the web is the paid Advanced Listening add-on. Agorapulse's page describes it as tracking conversations across millions of accounts, news platforms, blogs, and forums.
The vendor's help centre describes Advanced Listening as an add-on to your subscription, bought through sales and priced by quota. Mention's help-centre article on its plans says that as of 1 July 2026 Mention is no longer sold as a standalone product, and existing customers keep their current plans. That article adds that Agorapulse Listening attaches to Advanced or Tailored plans or comes as a standalone package. Teams that want dedicated monitoring should compare it with Brand24 and Determ, and the Brandwatch alternatives and Mention alternatives pages cover the rest.
Archie is Agorapulse's AI content tool, which turns articles, webinars, and videos into on-brand posts. The pricing page also lists a self-hosted MCP connection for ChatGPT and Claude. Integrations include HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zapier, Canva, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Drive, and Bit.ly. API access for reports is on the Custom plan only.
Agorapulse charges per user per month on the English site, in US dollars. Standard is $79 on annual billing or $99 monthly, Professional is $119 or $149, and Advanced is $149 or $199. Each of those includes 10 social profiles, and extra profiles cost $10 to $15 a month each.
X (Twitter) is not part of the base plans. Agorapulse's support article on X Lite and X Plus says an active paid add-on is required to connect any X profile. X Lite covers publishing only and costs $29 or โฌ29 per X profile a month, while X Plus adds the inbox and reports for $69 or โฌ69. The pricing page also lists Advocacy and Competitive Benchmarking as demo-led add-ons alongside Advanced Listening.
Custom is quoted and includes unlimited profiles, single sign-on, custom roles, multi-step approvals, API access, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager. The French pricing page's structured data states the annual prices as โฌ79, โฌ119, and โฌ149, so euro billing appears to exist with the same figures. We could not confirm the monthly euro prices, so confirm your currency at checkout.
The 30-day trial needs no card and, according to Agorapulse support, runs as a 15-day trial that you can extend once by another 15 days. After that, the situation is murky. Agorapulse's support article says the Free plan stopped being available to new or current users from 6 July 2026, replaced by a free Archie plan limited to 10 credits a month. Yet the pricing page FAQ still tells users they can keep using a free plan after the trial. Treat the support article as the more specific source and check with sales.
Per-user pricing is the main financial catch. A five-person team on Professional pays 5 ร $119 = $595 a month on annual billing, before any listening add-on.
Standard suits a solo social manager who needs the inbox and scheduling. Professional is the practical minimum for teams, since it adds assignments and team performance reports. Advanced is where moderation rules and ROI reporting arrive.
Agorapulse is a French company. Its Trust Center article in the Agorapulse support centre lists ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 among the certifications Agorapulse maintains, with links to its Vanta-hosted trust portal at trust.agorapulse.com. That article also states that customer data is hosted in the AWS Ireland region and that processing follows European data protection regulations.
Two caveats apply. First, social media management inherently moves data through US networks such as Meta, X, and LinkedIn, so EU hosting covers Agorapulse's own storage rather than the platforms you publish to. Second, we did not find a published subprocessor list in the pages we reviewed, so request it if your legal team needs one.
A US subsidiary named Agorapulse LLC is reported in secondary sources, but the contracting entity in the terms of service is the French SAS. Our directory therefore classes Agorapulse as an independent French company.
If you manage inbound conversations across several networks and spam moderation eats your day, Agorapulse's inbox is built for that work, and Advanced adds automated moderation rules. Test those rules during the trial.
If you work alone or in a team of two or three and want a straightforward scheduler, the per-user model makes it pricier than lighter schedulers. Compare Buffer alternatives and Later alternatives first.
If you are leaving a larger suite, see our Hootsuite alternatives and Sprout Social alternatives pages to place Agorapulse against its peers. For a head-to-head, read our Agorapulse vs Hootsuite comparison. Agorapulse's own pages argue that its pricing is transparent, and it says Brandwatch's custom pricing typically exceeds $1,000 a month, a claim we did not verify.
If EU hosting and certificates are procurement requirements, Agorapulse has the paperwork to pass most reviews. Listening-heavy teams should price the add-on before committing.

Paid plans are priced per user per month on the English site: Standard 79 dollars, Professional 119, and Advanced 149 on annual billing (99, 149, and 199 monthly). Each includes 10 social profiles. Custom plans are quoted. The French page's structured data lists 79, 119 and 149 euros for annual billing; confirm the currency at checkout.
Not a full one. It offers a 30-day trial with no card, run as 15 days plus one 15-day extension. Agorapulse support says the Free plan ended on 6 July 2026 and was replaced by a free Archie AI plan with 10 credits a month, although the pricing page FAQ still mentions a free plan.
Basic monitoring of your own channels is built in, but broader listening across social networks, news, forums, and the web is the paid Advanced Listening add-on. Agorapulse took over Mention in 2025 and stopped selling Mention standalone from 1 July 2026.
Prices are published and the company is run from Paris, and the inbox and moderation tools are its main strength. Hootsuite and Sprout Social have their own strengths, so check the alternatives pages and test with a trial before choosing.
